On one of those days where I was out with Susi to the City, I told Susi that my “system” was lacking of caffeine. Ever since I sort of recovered from the chronic gastritis which I suffered for almost the whole of 2008, I started to enjoy the good taste and fragrance of coffee; especially since I moved back to live with my family. I need at least a good cup of Joe to start my day. However, at Susi’s place, she only has in stock, instant Korean Mocha, which does very little to pick me up from the Zombie-ish withdrawal symptoms.

So Susi suggested this coffee cum restaurant place inside of the Crown. The Crown is sort of like Genting in Malaysia where they have hotels, casinos and all sorts of entertainment. Despite the dark clouds which you saw in the picture above, it was still a pretty sunny and breezy day in this city.

This is the place. Yours truly have again forgotten the name of the restaurant. I am not sure if it’s Australian or Italian or Spanish. Well, to me, it’s just Western. Even before you stepped into the restaurant, you would see a display of all sorts of cakes and cookies. Yummy ~

Another view of the restaurant. Here, at this “bar”, they displayed a range of pastas, clams, oysters, and other types of seafood. Hmmm come to think of it, I think it’s Italian. If I remembered clearly, the waiters and waitresses spoke like an Italian or Spanish or … oh well, doesn’t matter.

So we decided to get a place at the back of the restaurant, and also by the Yarra River. Can you see those metal thingy at the top left of the picture? I think those are some kind of heaters; because as I walked pass it, I felt the heat coming out of it.

While Susi was busy feeding Yuna, she asked me to go and decide what cake I wanted for our afternoon tea. Now, about having babies. Well I love kids, I do. And I know Susi when we both were working in KPMG, and we always talked about boy friends, money, shopping, drinking. And now, seeing her as a mom, paying constant attention and affection to little Yuna, it’s truly something I admire. I am not even sure if I could ever do that since I am so used to, at the moment, to just paying attention to myself. Babies need to be fed like almost every 2 hours! Sounds so familiar, sounds just like my own appetite.

And off I went to choose my cake. I literally spent almost 15 minutes deciding on which one I would like to have. And the waitress actually came to ask me twice: So have you decided on what you want? Look at the types of cakes on display! Come on! How can I decide so easily on just one choice?! Just one?! Mind you, it’s really expensive to just order one slice of cake, I think it was about AUD10 or something.

Next, we’ve decided on our drinks. Susi ordered Cappuccino and I ordered Frappe with ice cream. The Cappuccino was really awesome. I never had such good coffee. According to Susi, Cappuccino is 1/3 of coffee, 1/3 of milk and 1/3 of foam. So I thought, that’s not strong enough for me. For my Frappe, it tasted like ice-kopi in Malaysia. Not so good though. I think I kind of regretted for not ordering Cappuccino as well.

And that’s our cake for the afternoon. Coffee-almond cake! Well that’s not the exact actual name. It sounded fancier. But it’s mainly made from coffee. So I had ice-kopi plus coffee cake. And I was happy for the rest of the day; no more withdrawal syndromes.

So Yuna had her afternoon milk. Well, she has a lot milking session, not just one afternoon milk. And she’s always ready to play; especially after she has a nap. Yuna was the first ever baby whom I have spent so much time with. And she’s really a darling. While I was finishing up my coffee cake, Susi played with Yuna, so that she wouldn’t be bored.

Isn’t she a darling?
